I have commented before that while there is value in calling abortion advocates on the “pro-choice” bluff is important and fruitful, we also need to understand how it is possible for them to consider themselves pro-choice (especially because many errant Catholics actually consider themselves so), and to meet their arguments at face value. Our politicized culture even makes science into a propaganda tool instead of an investigation into objective truth. Tolerance or Charity?

It’s amazing how certain themes tend to come in streaks. I just read two letters to the editor in our local newspapers, in separate issues, about the need to overcome discrimination and prejudice and to promote tolerance.
