I have commented before that while there is value in calling abortion advocates on the “pro-choice” bluff is important and fruitful, we also need to understand how it is possible for them to consider themselves pro-choice (especially because many errant Catholics actually consider themselves so), and to meet their arguments at face value. This is, after all, St. Thomas Aquinas’ approach.

Our politicized culture even makes science into a propaganda tool instead of an investigation into objective truth. Does anyone really know if “global warming” is real or not? “Science” seems to support both sides of the argument because science has been used as a weapon rather than as an honest search for the truth. There are inherent dangers in criticizing certain causes such as the prolife movement when one is a Catholic educator. Many pro-life groups have been abuzz about the memo issued by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI that seemed to indicate that pro-lifers were considered potential terrorists by the government.
